We had a very successful engagement session today at Skyland Manor in Ringwood, New Jersey. Quiana and Daniel really put up with such an immense cold and glad to say it did not show in the images. We did the usual tour around the property and made use of the foliage. I used both natural light and studio strobe. I try for all my shoots to have as many options as possible for their images. I'm very honored to be their wedding photographer.

It's fall with 90 degree weather today. Our mission is an engagement session at Happy Day Farm in Manalapan Township, New Jersey. With no cloud in site and no shade I thought today was not going to be our best shoot ever. I brought an assistant to do our professional lighting and combat the harsh sun. For us, our engagment shoots are how we connect with clients and build a great relationship. What we do is much more than photography. I hope you enjoy today's images.
I was fortunate to convince the owner of the Blind Pig in NYC to let us shoot our couple. These huge Arsenal fans had the bright idea of getting matching jerseys to do the Save the Date invitations.
I'm not sure who wins here. The folks who book with me and get a free engagement session or our studio. Sometimes our clients let us run with our crazy ideas. I liked what the couple was wearing so I opted for a movie post type of shot. We initially wanted a the bridge behind us at DUMBO in Brooklyn. It was high noon and the sun was terrible so we went to a side street. The rest is history.
By now it's no secret every full service wedding package comes with a free engagement shoot. Veronica & Matt happened to pick the best day of December for their shoot. It felt like Spring out. Matt had proposed at Frank Sinatra Park in Hoboken so they wanted to shoot there. We also shot in the alley where we got a lot of really cool shots. What's not to love about this couple. We had an amazing time and I'm really looking forward shooting their wedding in 2016.
I was fortunate enough to be flown to Boulder, Colorado for this beautiful outdoor wedding. They flew us out a day early to catch the groomsmen at the Go-Kart Racetrack which was awesome. The high elevation was a bit of a problem for me but I managed the best that I could. None the less it was one of the best moments I've ever had. Very humbling experience. Once they booked with me they jumped on the free engagement shoot with out hesitation. They picked Long Branch in New Jersey where he proposed. She was very shy at first. I told her not to worry. I asked the couple to be very organic and I'll just capture their moments. It ended up being one of my favorite shoots ever. I can't wait for their wedding in 2016.
Today was a beautiful day for an intimate wedding. We were very limited with time and shooting locations and I was able to get some beautiful images that they really enjoyed.
