It's fall with 90 degree weather today. Our mission is an engagement session at Happy Day Farm in Manalapan Township, New Jersey. With no cloud in site and no shade I thought today was not going to be our best shoot ever. I brought an assistant to do our professional lighting and combat the harsh sun. For us, our engagment shoots are how we connect with clients and build a great relationship. What we do is much more than photography. I hope you enjoy today's images.

I wanted to share with you folks a fantastic shoot I had over the weekend with these two sisters. On the way to Skylands Manor it was pouring rain, by the time I parked it was nice and sunny. This was a good sign that great images were about to happen.
I was fortunate to convince the owner of the Blind Pig in NYC to let us shoot our couple. These huge Arsenal fans had the bright idea of getting matching jerseys to do the Save the Date invitations.
I'm not sure who wins here. The folks who book with me and get a free engagement session or our studio. Sometimes our clients let us run with our crazy ideas. I liked what the couple was wearing so I opted for a movie post type of shot. We initially wanted a the bridge behind us at DUMBO in Brooklyn. It was high noon and the sun was terrible so we went to a side street. The rest is history.
By now it's no secret every full service wedding package comes with a free engagement shoot. Veronica & Matt happened to pick the best day of December for their shoot. It felt like Spring out. Matt had proposed at Frank Sinatra Park in Hoboken so they wanted to shoot there. We also shot in the alley where we got a lot of really cool shots. What's not to love about this couple. We had an amazing time and I'm really looking forward shooting their wedding in 2016.
Today we went to Celery Farm in Allendale, New Jersey for a Joanny's Fall Session. This park is one of my favorite places to shoot. Joanny was full of great posing ideas, she was a natural. I used my Indra 500 Strobe Light with a Softbox to light her so I can combine it with ambient light. The results were phenomenal.
